Christmas Place Announces Grand Opening of ‘The Partridge and Pear Restaurant’
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (July 22, 2010) – Celebrating good food and holiday cheer, The Partridge and Pear Restaurant at Christmas Place opened its doors on Friday, July 16, with a menu full of family recipes and chef-inspired entrees, which are all house-made and individually prepared with the freshest locally-sourced ingredients.
“Our vision is to provide our guests with a dining experience that evokes the warm and wonderful spirit of Christmas during their visit to Pigeon Forge at any time of the year,” said Marian Biggs, founder. “When we think about Christmas, a large part of the holiday is great food and conversation around the dinner table with family and friends. We’ve created five new dining rooms, each individually themed, where families will enjoy a fabulous meal, creating memories reminiscent of their own Christmas table.”
“Many dishes on our menu celebrate Christmas flavors, such as cinnamon and cranberry,” states Executive Chef Aaron Ward, a Sevier County native. “Some of our signature dishes are the Sweet Potato Ravioli, Slow-Cooked Beef Ribs, Pecan-crusted Trout, Filet Au Poivre, and our Cake from Christmas Past, a local recipe from 1827, just to name a few. We have many sides to choose from (just like the traditional Christmas dinner celebration in many homes), including our founder Marian Biggs’ sweet potatoes. We also offer special meals for children, including our Frosty the Pancake, which has already proved to put smiles on our youngest guests’ faces!”
The Partridge and Pear is currently open for dinner from 4-10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. Lunch service will begin by fall.
The restaurant seats up to 142 guests in its five dining rooms, including the Bavarian Room, Holly Room, Angel Room, Nutcracker Room and Conservatory, each with a unique, themed decor and hand-painted ceiling murals, for a special dining experience.
Next door to the year-round retail store, The Incredible Christmas Place, and across the street from its related property, The Inn at Christmas Place, The Partridge and Pear Restaurant is located at 2480 Parkway (traffic light 2A) in Pigeon Forge, TN.
