‘Space Walk Challenge’ Adds New Excitement to WonderWorks

Three-story-tall ropes course offers indoor activity year-round at ‘amusement park for the mind’

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (January 2011) – “Space Walk Challenge,” one of the largest ropes challenge courses anywhere, has added a new level of excitement to WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The ropes course lets participants scale to a maximum height of 43 feet. The three-story-tall adventure features a glow-in-the-dark course along with 45 different obstacles that include cargo nets, a rope walk, lily pads and a tremor bridge that must be conquered along the way.

Located indoors, the ropes course offers a year-round, weatherproof challenge for families. The course is designed with the experience level of each participant in mind. More advanced athletes will discover a challenge, while "just for fun" climbers will experience a sense of accomplishment as they navigate the course.

“This is a great new interactive adventure that can be enjoyed by all age groups,” said Ed Shaffer, general manager of WonderWorks. “We're excited to be able to introduce it at our Pigeon Forge facility so families can explore the three-story indoor ropes challenge course together.”

Located inside the WonderWorks attraction, the ropes challenge course will be included in the price of admission.
