Walden's Landing

Visitors to Pigeon Forge are enjoying Walden’s Landing, a $15 million retail and dining development.

The architecture of the pedestrian-friendly development recalls the town squares of small communities in east Tennessee or western North Carolina. The design includes a 70-foot-tall courthouse, tree-lined sidewalks with benches and a replica of an old-style fire hall.

The fire hall is the inspiration for Firehouse Golf, a 36-hole miniature golf course in the middle of Walden’s Landing.

Retail shopping is one of the mainstay appeals of Pigeon Forge, which attracts approximately 11 million visitors a year and which a variety of specialty shops along with more than 200 outlet stores.

Among the businesses in Walden’s Landing are Atkins Orchard (jams, jellies and cider), the Atlanta Bread Company, Birkenstock Shoes, 2 Sweet Peas, Hershey’s Ice Cream, Thomas Kinkade Galleries and the Tool Zone.
